    Te Aroha Noa Community Services is a not for profit organisation who has been serving the Western suburbs of Palmerston North for 20 years. He Ngakau Noa Teen Parent's has been running for 18 months and we are looking for a passionate person to strengthen teen parent whanau who has tertiary qualifications in Social Work. The position is .75 but we would be willing to enter into discussion with the right applicant if more hours were required. This is both a challenging and rewarding role that requires a person to have highly developed self-awareness, self care and stress management skills. We are looking for someone who; Possesses outstanding skills in engaging at risk teen parent whanau Has a passion to inspire teen parent whanau to discover and create healthy ways of being Can liaise with key stakeholders Are committed to ensuring all children/tamariki live in environments where they are safe and socially and emotionally nurtured Has strong admin planning and communication skills If you are interested in developing healthy teen parent family/whanau functioning, facilitating teen parents to identify a family/whanau vision and developing practical steps towards the vision then this is the position for you. You will be required to create/enhance support networks, new initiatives, supportive communities and collaborative approaches to working with teen parent families.
